Pretest Driving Lesson in Malahide and the Driving Test

The pass rates are likely higher than you believe although the test has a bit of a standing that is daunting. And, as with any assessment, with appropriate preparation and a Malahide ADI you have a great chance of passing.

To pass the driving test you'll need to

  • Maintain proper control over the vehicle at all times
  • Reveal expectation and comprehension
  • Take appropriate precautions when moving off, halting, overtaking, altering direction and meeting other traffic in Malahide
  • Make safe and reasonable progress when driving and when meeting and crossing the trail of other vehicles

But first you may need to carry out the EDT in Malahide

What does Essential Driving Training involve?

EDT is a course of Twelve one-hour lessons. These lessons are made to cover specific crucial driving abilities and improve your practical driving abilities.

As you complete each lesson, your Malahide ADI will record your progress in a logbook that is specially issued.

You also need to have a Sponsor, a seasoned driver (many learner drivers select a family member) who will supervise your driving practice outside of lessons in Malahide, and will also track your progress in your logbook.

After you finish your EDT course, you may still need added lessons in Malahide with an ADI to boost your driving abilities. Furthermore, it is best to practice with your Sponsor whenever possible to get confident behind the wheel.

On the day of your driving test, you need to take the completed EDT logbook on the designated test date, as you might have to show the examiner it.
