However you may need to complete the EDT in Clondalkin

Precisely what does Essential Driving Training entail?

EDT is a course of 12 one-hour lessons. These lessons are made to cover certain essential driving skills and enhance your practical driving skills.

As you carry out each lesson, your Clondalkin Instructor will record your progress in a specially issued logbook.

You also need to have a Sponsor, an experienced driver (many student drivers pick a relative) who will supervise your driving practice inbetween lessons in Clondalkin, and may also track your progress in your logbook.

Once you conclude your EDT program, you may need additional lessons in Clondalkin with an Approved driving instructor to boost your driving abilities. Furthermore, it is best to practice with your Sponsor as much as possible to get confident behind the wheel.

On the day of your driving test, it is best to bring your completed EDT logbook on the test date that is appointed, since you may be asked to show it to the examiner.
