What does EDT entail?
EDT is a course of Twelve one-hour lessons. These lessons are designed to cover specific critical driving skills and improve your practical driving skills.
As you complete each lesson, your Drimnagh Instructor will log how you're progressing in a specially issued logbook.
You also need to have a Sponsor, a seasoned driver (many learner drivers select a relative) who will supervise your driving practice inbetween lessons in Drimnagh, and will even track your progress in your logbook.
Once you conclude your EDT course, you may still need added lessons in Drimnagh with an Approved driving instructor to enhance your driving abilities. Additionally, it is best to practice with your Sponsor as much as possible to get confident behind the wheel.
On the day of your driving test, you should take the completed logbook on the designated test date, as you might be asked to show the examiner it.
