Pretest Driving Lesson in Kimmage and the Driving Test
The driving test is a rite of passage for most individuals - learning to ride a bike and up there with your first day at school. The test has a little reputation that is daunting but the pass rates are likely higher than you believe. And, as with any assessment, with appropriate preparation and a Kimmage instructor you have an excellent likelihood of passing.
To pass the driving test you may need to
- Keep proper control over the vehicle at all times
- Show expectation and comprehension
- Take proper precautions when going off, stopping, overtaking, shifting direction and facing other traffic in Kimmage
- Make safe and acceptable improvement when driving and when meeting and crossing the path of other vehicles
But first you may need to complete your essential driver training in Kimmage
What does Essential Driving Training entail?
EDT is a program of 12 one-hour lessons. These lessons were created to cover certain critical driving abilities and enhance your practical driving skills.
As you carry out each lesson, your Kimmage Driving Instructor will log your progress in a logbook that is specially issued.
You also need to have a Sponsor, a seasoned driver (many learner drivers choose a family member) who will supervise your driving practice outside of driving lessons in Kimmage, and will even track your progress in your EDT logbook.
After you finish your EDT course, you may still need added support lessons in Kimmage with an ADI to enhance your driving abilities. Also, it is best to practice with your Sponsor whenever possible to get comfortable in the driver's seat.
On the day of your driving test, you should bring your completed EDT logbook on the designated test date, as you might have to show the examiner it.
