Precisely what does Essential Driving Training involve?
EDT is a program of Twelve one-hour lessons. These lessons are designed to cover certain critical driving skills and improve your practical driving abilities.
As you carry out each lesson, your Knocklyon ADI will log how you're progressing in a specially issued logbook.
You should also have a Sponsor, a seasoned driver (many student drivers select a family member) who will oversee your driving practice outside of lessons in Knocklyon, and may also track your improvement in your EDT logbook.
Once you conclude your EDT course, you may want additional support lessons in Knocklyon with an Approved driving instructor to strengthen your driving abilities. Furthermore, it is best to practice with your Sponsor as much as possible to get comfortable in the driver's seat.
On the designated test date, you should bring your fulfilled essential driver training logbook on the day of your driving test, as you might be asked to show it to the examiner.
