Pretest Driving Lesson in Sandyford and the Driving Test

The driving test is a rite of passage for most folks - learning to ride a bike and up there with your first day at school. The test has a little daunting reputation but the pass rates are likely higher than you believe. And, like with any assessment, with a Sandyford ADI and proper preparation you have an excellent chance of passing.

To pass the driving test you may need to

  • Keep appropriate control over the vehicle at all times
  • Show consciousness and expectation
  • Take appropriate precautions when going off, stopping, overtaking, altering direction and facing other traffic in Sandyford
  • Make reasonable and safe progress when meeting and crossing the path of other vehicles when driving

But first you might need to carry out the EDT in Sandyford

What does Essential Driving Training involve?

EDT is a course of Twelve one-hour lessons. These lessons are made to cover specific critical driving skills and enhance your practical driving skills.

As you complete each lesson, your Sandyford Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) will record your progress in a specially issued logbook.

You should also have a Sponsor, a seasoned driver (many learner drivers select a family member) who will supervise your driving practice outside of driving lessons in Sandyford, and will even monitor your improvement in your EDT logbook.

Once you conclude your EDT program, you may need additional support lessons in Sandyford with an Approved driving instructor to strengthen your driving abilities. Also, it is best to practice with your Sponsor as much as possible to get comfortable behind the wheel.

On the appointed test date, you must bring your concluded essential driver training logbook on the day of your driving test, as you might have to show it to the examiner.
