Pretest Driving Lesson in Ashtown and the Driving Test
The driving test is a rite of passage for most individuals - up there with your first day at college and learning to ride a bicycle. The test has a little reputation that is daunting but the pass rates are probably higher than you believe. And, like with any assessment, with proper training and an Ashtown instructor you've got a great likelihood of passing.
To pass the driving test you will need to
- Keep proper control over the vehicle at all times
- Show expectation and knowledge
- Take proper precautions when going off, halting, overtaking, changing direction and meeting other traffic in Ashtown
- Make safe and reasonable improvement when driving and when meeting and crossing the course of other vehicles
But first you might need to carry out your essential driver training in Ashtown
What does EDT involve?
EDT is a course of 12 one-hour lessons. These lessons are made to cover specific essential driving skills and improve your practical driving skills.
As you carry out each lesson, your Ashtown Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) will record your progress in a logbook that is specially issued.
You also need to have a Sponsor, a seasoned driver (many student drivers pick a family member) who will supervise your driving practice outside of lessons in Ashtown, and will even monitor your progress in your EDT logbook.
After you conclude your EDT course, you may need added support lessons in Ashtown with an Driving instructor to strengthen your driving abilities. Additionally, it is best to practice with your Sponsor whenever possible to get confident behind the wheel.
On the test date that is appointed, you should bring your completed essential driver training logbook on the day of your driving test, since you may be asked to show it to the examiner.
